Enseignant-chercheur en Psychologie et Psychothérapie (40h)
L’Université Sigmund Freud (SFU) est une université privée qui possède plusieurs branches. La faculté de Sciences Psychothérapeutiques est basée à la SFU de Vienne ; elle propose des programmes de Licence et de Master à Vienne, Paris, Berlin, Ljubljana et Linz. Le lieu d’affectation du poste est la SFU Paris.
Conformément à la mission que s’est fixée l’université privée, la psychothérapie se conçoit également comme un projet de science humaine dans lequel l’intégration de la théorie et de la pratique d’une science moderne de la psychothérapie a la plus haute priorité. Le programme d’études est basé sur les exigences de formation pour l’exercice de la profession réglementée par la Loi autrichienne sur la Psychothérapie et forme également à la méthodologie scientifique et à la recherche (Psychologie clinique et Psychothérapie). Dans les cliniques ambulatoires de l’université (plus d’informations ici), les étudiants peuvent mettre en pratique leurs premières connaissances en matière de recherche et de psychothérapie. Une gamme de modalités de psychothérapie différentes est disponible pour la spécialisation clinique.
Le poste de professeur d’université est attribué dans le cadre d’une procédure de nomination ordinaire à l’université (voir le règlement de nomination de la Faculté ici : cliquez ici). Une commission conduit la procédure ; après un examen détaillé des dossiers de candidature, des auditions publiques seront organisées. Les candidatures doivent être déposées avant le 30 septembre 2023 ; le poste sera pourvu dès que possible après l’aboutissement de la procédure de nomination, probablement au semestre d’hiver 2023/24. Le contrat sera initialement signé pour une durée déterminée de deux ans avec l’intention de passer à un poste permanent si les objectifs fixés sont atteints.
Vos tâches
Vous serez impliqué(e) dans les activités d’enseignement et de recherche de la SFU, vos responsabilités incluront :
- Fonction d’animation de la SFU Paris
- Recherche scientifique à la Clinique Ambulatoire de Paris (SFU Solidaire) en coopération avec les Cliniques Psychothérapeutiques Ambulatoires de Vienne, Berlin, Linz et Ljubljana
- Enseignement universitaire
- Supervision de mémoires de Licence et/ou de Master
- Acquisition de financements, bourses, etc.
- Direction d’un groupe de recherche
- Tâches administratives impliquant l’encadrement et le mentorat d’étudiants
- Développement des partenariats
- Visites régulières à la SFU Vienne
Votre profil
- Vous êtes habilité(e) dans le domaine de la recherche empirique en psychothérapie (dans le domaine de la science de la psychothérapie ou dans une discipline voisine telle que la psychologie, la médecine, la sociologie, les sciences sociales et/ou culturelles).
- Vous avez une expérience pratique et académique dans le domaine de la psychothérapie (idéalement une formation psychothérapeutique avancée ou achevée) ou de la psychologie clinique.
- Vous avez une expérience de la recherche, de la mise en œuvre de projets de recherche et l’implication d’étudiants et de collègues.
- Vous avez une expérience de la recherche en psychothérapie ou en psychologie clinique (axée sur les méthodes quantitatives) grâce à un travail de projet et à des publications pertinentes.
- Vous êtes ouvert à différentes approches scientifiques (qualitatives, quantitatives, herméneutiques) et vous êtes intéressé par le dialogue entre différentes méthodes de psychothérapie ou psychologie clinique.
- Vous avez une très bonne maîtrise de l’anglais écrit et parlé (séjour(s) à l’étranger, formation universitaire ou formation continue seraient un avantage).
- Des notions d’allemand seraient appréciées

University Professorship for Psychotherapy Process and Outcome Research (m/f/d) with 40h
Sigmund Freud University (SFU) is a private university with several branches. The Faculty of Psychotherapy Science is based at SFU Vienna; it runs Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Vienna, Paris, Berlin, Ljubljana and Linz. The place of employment for the advertised professorship is SFU Paris.
In accordance with the mission statement of the private university, psychotherapy science also sees itself as a human science project in which the integration of theory and practice of a modern psychotherapy science has the highest priority. The study programme is based on the training requirements for practicing the profession regulated by the Austrian Psychotherapy Act and also trains in scientific and research methodology. In the university’s own outpatient clinics, students can apply their first knowledge of research and psychotherapy in practice. A range of different psychotherapy modalities is available for clinical specialisation.
The university professorship advertised here is awarded through an ordinary appointment procedure at the university (see the Faculty’s appointment regulations on the website: https://ptw.sfu.ac.at/de/fakultaet/regulative-mitteilungen). An appointment committee conducts the procedure; after a detailed review of the application documents, public hearings are invited. Applications must be submitted by 30 September 2023; the position will be filled as soon as possible after the appointment procedure has been successfully completed, probably in the winter semester 2023/24. The contract will initially be concluded for a fixed term of two years with the intention of transfer to a permanent position in the event of a positive evaluation of the target agreements.
Your tasks
You will be involved in the teaching and research activities of the SFU, your responsibilities will include:
- leadership function of the SFU Paris
- scientific research at the Psychotherapeutic Outpatient Clinic in Paris in cooperation with the Psychotherapeutic Outpatient Clinics in Vienna, Berlin, Linz and Ljubljana
- academic teaching
- the supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses
- the acquisition of third-party funds
- taking over the leadership of a research group
- administrative tasks involving the supervision and mentoring of students
- third mission activities
- regular visits to the SFU Vienna
Your profile
- You have a relevant habilitation in the field of empirical psychotherapy research (in the subject of psychotherapy science or a neighbouring discipline such as psychology, medicine, sociology, social and/or cultural sciences).
- You have practical and academic experience in the field of psychotherapy (ideally advanced or completed psychotherapeutic training) or clinical psychology.
- You have research experience in the implementation of research projects and the involvement of students and colleagues.
- You have experience in empirical psychotherapy research (focus on quantitative methods) through relevant project work and publications.
- You are open to different scientific approaches (qualitative, quantitative, hermeneutics) and are interested in the dialogue between different methods of psychotherapy.
- You have a very good command of written and spoken English (stay(s) abroad, academic training or further education an advantage).
- Optional: You have knowledge of German.
