Outpatient Clinic

Our approach

The aim is to provide SFU Master’s students with a place where they can receive training in therapeutic care, under the supervision of professionals. This space offers affordable psychological follow-up to people suffering from existential difficulties or psychological disorders, referred for the most part by hospitals and medical-social action structures (CMP, associations such as La Croix Rouge, Emmaüs, etc.). Confrontation with patients from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds helps students to integrate and put into practice the theoretical foundations acquired during their training.

The ethical dimension of this clinic is dear to the heart of the SFU, which, in line with the wishes of the World Health Organization, wishes to place mental health at the heart of public health concerns.

Access for Master's students

The outpatient clinic:

Accessible to all students from the 3rd year of their Bachelor’s degree, it was founded thanks to partnerships forged between SFU-Solidaire and various structures.

Our partners:

Abbé Pierre Foundation

Since 2009, our students have been taking part in internships at Emmaüs Solidarité shelters.

Ecole Technique Supérieure du Laboratoire

Since 2021, our Master’s students have been working in pairs at ETSL to offer high school and university students psychological support.

Industreet

Since 2021, SFU Master’s students have been working in pairs at Industreet twice a month, offering learners psychological support.

In-house outpatient clinic:

Accessible to all our students from the 1st year of the Master’s program, the aim is to enable students to practice in a setting close to their future profession. In this way, they experience face-to-face consultations for at least a year. All students take part in compulsory group supervisions by teachers and psychologists (supervisions take place twice a month and last 3 hours).
