We are thrilled to announce the participation of Professors Viola Sallay and Tamás Martos in the 2025 Summer School of the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP), organized in cooperation with the University of Kent, which will take place from July 20 to 30, 2025, in Canterbury, England.

This 10-day Summer School is designed to bring together students from around the world in an immersive setting, guided by experienced social psychologists from Europe and beyond.

Professors Sallay and Martos, Academic Director and Scientific Director of SFU Paris respectively, will lead the “Close Relationships” workshop. This seminar will focus on the intersection of relationship science, environmental psychology, and health psychology, highlighting the importance of space and context in close relationships.

Workshop Highlights

• What are the environmental and psychological aspects of close relationships?
• How do experiences within the home reflect the functioning of close relationships and their societal context?
• What role does the use of space and place play in how close relationships navigate life’s challenges?
• How do methodological advances, such as experience mapping and emotional mapping, allow researchers to uncover spatially and socially embedded experiences of individuals, couples, and communities?
• How can understanding rooted and embodied experiences be used to develop new forms of psychological support and health promotion?

The Summer School offers a unique opportunity to dive into cutting-edge research, collaborate with international peers, and develop innovative projects under the guidance of renowned experts.
