Information on research grants
Every year, the Sigmund Freud University Vienna receives funding from the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research for research grants. They are intended to support unfinished scientific theses in master’s and doctorate/PhD programs. The thesis must not yet be approved, but the studies should be completed in the foreseeable future. The description of the work must indicate that it involves special expenses. The supervisor’s report must indicate that the thesis is likely to be completed with above-average success.
A merit-based grant amounts to a minimum of 750 euros.
Funding is provided for expenses closely related to the scientific work in terms of time and content, such as:
- Travel expenses abroad
- In-depth bibliographical research
- Empirical surveys
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be :
- citizenship of an EU member state
- British citizenship
- refugee status
- Be a Master’s student at Sigmund Freud University (in all SFU establishments).
- Have achieved excellent academic results in a Sigmund Freud University study program and have validated a minimum of 60 ECTS points.
- Regular student at SFU
- The period of eligibility essentially comprises the period of study for the degree program plus one additional semester.
Grade point average: 1.5 maximum
