Research Grants

Information on research grants

Every year, the Sigmund Freud University Vienna receives funding from the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research for research grants. They are intended to support unfinished scientific theses in master’s and doctorate/PhD programs. The thesis must not yet be approved, but the studies should be completed in the foreseeable future. The description of the work must indicate that it involves special expenses. The supervisor’s report must indicate that the thesis is likely to be completed with above-average success.

A merit-based grant amounts to a minimum of 750 euros.
